Sturminster and Hinton AA hold the fishing rights on the Dorset Stour from just below the confluence of the River Lydden north of Hinton St. Mary, south to Hayward's Bridge road crossing near Shillingstone. On most of the length fishing is available on both banks and detailed information with descriptions and maps is available when you click on the individual pages under the 'Where to Fish' button on the left.
Please note that all references to Left and Right bank assume an orientation facing downstream, also note that the links shown directly on the maps are not active but:

The maps can be seen in a smaller or larger scale by going to http://www.multimap.com/?client=public&lang=&advanced=&db=GB

We have an Exchange Ticket agreement with several clubs in the area which gives all full members the opportunity to fish a great variety of waters such as the Huntspill in Somerset and the Hampshire Avon at Downton. Go to the 'Exchange Tickets' button to find out more.

S&HAA are also members of the Somerset Levels Association of Clubs (SLAC) and the waters available are shown under the SLAC button on the left.

For stillwater fishing the club has an arrangement with the REVELS FISHERY http://www.revelsfishery.fsbusiness.co.uk/revels1.htm whereby full members can fish the lakes for no extra charge and, for an extra £10 per year, members can also fish the Lodden lakes at Gillingham. Lodden tickets can be bought from the Membership Secretary About Us or from the tackle shop at Todber:  www.todbermanor.co.uk .
For all venues members are asked to follow the basic common-sense rules when on other people's property. Do not leave gates open or cause obstruction by parking in gateways or on roads or tracks and do not leave litter of any description. The association has been taken to task many times (more often than not unjustly) for leaving litter, please do not be one of the very small minority to put in jeopardy the excellent fishing available for the vast majority of our responsible members.
