Working parties are active throughout a large part of the year on a regular and an ad hoc basis. Routine working takes place on Fridays, starting normally 2-3 weeks before season and continuing until too it becomes too dark for the work.
The work is mostly concerned with general swim maintenance, involving grass cutting and branch clearances. There is a particular focus on relevant stretches prior to club matches. The club has a range of tools and equipment to support the work, including strimmers, saws and weed rakes and also has a boat which can be deployed where necessary. We have very good relationships with local farmers and landowners and often cooperate in in the larger tasks, such as tree removal.
Information about upcoming work parties will be posted on the club website and if required, further information can be obtained from our Chairman, Ian Paulley.
